V praindoevropejski dobi so ga imenovali Kar, kamen, danes mu pravimo Kras. Kraško pokrajino že od nekdaj karakterizira kamen, ki tej pokrajini daje skorajda nadrealisticni pecat – tako edinstven v oceh obiskovalcev. Ostra pokrajina z mešano identiteto, na tem obmocju sobivata dva naroda, slovenski in italijanski, zna biti hkrati tudi radodarna in prijetna. Ljubezen do narave in konjev: turisticna kmetija Le Torri di Slivia Na obmocju, kjer nas pokrajinska cesta popelje od Nabrežine v majhno kraško vas Slivno, se nahaja turisticna kmetija Le Torri di Slivia, kjer se Corrado s sestro Roberto ukvarja z upravljanjem kmetije, rejo konj in nudenjem penziona za konje, proizvodnjo vina in svinjine. Naravni, pristni izdelki so del kulinaricne ponudbe tako agriturizma, kjer je mogoce tudi prenociti in rezervirati vecerje za vecje skupine, kakor osmice, ki jo obicajno odprejo enkrat ali dvakrat na leto. Turisticna kmetija je nastala na podlagi ovrednotenja in obnove elementov iz preteklosti V rimski dobi so na Krasu gradili hiše zaprtega tipa. Bivališce je bilo obrnjeno bolj proti notranjosti kot zunanjosti, in sicer bolj zaradi varstva družinske zasebnosti; vec generacij si je delilo skupne prostore, kjer se je odvijalo kulturno in družabno družinsko življenje. Ta koncept kraške bivanjske kulture se je skozi stoletja ohranil vse do danes, ko predstavlja sestavni del kraške tradicije in filozofije agriturizma Le Torri di Slivia. Star hlev in senik sta bila prenovljena v moderen agriturizem sredi narave s štirimi udobnimi svetlimi sobami v starem kmeckem stilu. Na novo so bili ustvarjeni koticki, ki nas spominjajo na nekdanja prebivališca, posebni koticki, ki nam dajejo vtis, da je bila hiša grajena pocasi, v vec delih, tako, kakor so to poceli nekoc, ko se je s širjenjem družine širilo tudi bivanjsko poslopje. Poprej obstojeca poslopja so bila obnovljena v skladu s preteklostjo in lokalno tradicijo, kar se kaže v ponovni uporabi gradbenega materiala iz starih kraških poslopij, uporabi tipicnih barv in zgodovinskoarhitektonski preucitvi vsakega najmanjšega detajla. Pri vsem tem pa nismo pozabili na moderno tehnologijo, denimo na okolju prijazne solarne kolektorje za ogrevanje notranjih prostorov. Na vsakem koticku je prisotna tudi stilizirana oblika konj; v vklesanih podobah na kamnitih stebrih, policah in stropu. Vse to simbolizira predanost, ki jo lastnika vlagata v vsakdanje delo. Odlicna izhodišcna tocka za izlete Lokacija agriturizma predstavlja idealno izhodišcno tocko za sprehode, jahanje in sprehode s konji, izlete v neokrnjeno naravo, za namecek pa je mogoc tudi ogled arheoloških izkopanin, ostankov, ki pricajo o poselitvi teh krajev od prazgodovine dalje. In fact, rocky outcrops have always characterised the Karst landscape; its surreal forms surprise and intrigue visitors who see this place for the first time. It is a rugged territory whose identity is made up of the Italian and Slovene nationalities that live together in this region, inhabitants who know how to welcome their guests with warm hospitality and kindness. Passion for nature and horses: Le Torri di Slivia Farm and Stables In Le Torri di Slivia Farm and Stables is situated on the road from Aurisina to the small Karst village of Slivia. Here, brother and sister Corrado and Roberta oversee the day-to-day running of the farm, from the stud farm and the livery stables, to the production of wine and pork meats. This home-grown produce is on offer in the farmhouse restaurant which can host large groups and also provides overnight accommodation. As well as this, home-grown typical produce can be sampled at the Farm’s ozmiza which is open once or twice a year in the summer. An osmiza is a tradition that is characteristic of the Karst: farms are allowed to open their doors to the public to sell their own food and wine. The birth of the holiday farmhouse is about restoration and heritage In Roman times, the houses built in the Karst were enclosed structures. The development of the domus was more focussed on the interior rather than the exterior, therefore protecting the family’s intimacy. Many generations lived together in the same common spaces that were dedicated to the cultural and social life of the family. This concept has been inherited by successive generations of Karst villages and is now a tradition of the area and the philosophy of Le Torri di Slivia. The old stable and hayloft have been transformed into a modern holiday farmhouse surrounded by nature. There are four well-lit rooms that have been decorated in a rustic style with all modern comforts. Parts of the old structure have been left visible, so that the visitor can appreciate how the house was built slowly over time, as was always the case in houses from the past: when the family grew, so did the building. The pre-existing structures were restored with respect for the past and local traditions, using building materials that were salvaged from old Karst buildings. Care was taken to ensure that colours and architectural techniques used were historically accurate in every detail. History goes hand in hand with modern technology and respect for the environment: solar panels are used to heat the interior of the buildings. The stylised image of the horse can be seen everywhere, on the carvings on the stone columns, on the shelves and in the beams that hold the structure together, symbolising the passion for the animal that drives the daily work of the two owners. A great starting point for day trips The farm has a privileged position for excursions both in the great outdoors, with walks and horse rides, but also for visiting interesting archaeological remains that bear witness to the people that have lived in this area since prehistoric times. Beneath the surface, the Karst is full of spectacular underground caves. One of these, the Grotta delle Torri di Slivia, gives its name to the Farm and is situated beneath one of the farm buildings.

Seit immer ist es nämlich das Gestein, das die Karstlandschaft prägt und ihr diesen surrealen Charme besonders dem Auge des Besuchers verleiht. Ein raues Land mit einer gemischten Identität, wo zwei Volksgruppen zusammenleben, Italiener und Slowenen, und das auch großzügig und gastfreundlich zu sein weißt. Natur- und Pferdeleidenschaft: der landwirtschaftliche Betrieb Le Torri di Slivia In diesem Gebiet, auf der Landstrasse, die von Aurisina bis zu der alten Ortschaft auf dem Karst Slivia führt, befindet sich die Landwirtschaft Le Torri di Slivia. Hier führen die zwei Geschwister Corrado und Roberta den Betrieb, sie kümmern sich persönlich um die Zucht und die Pflege der Pferde und Pferdepension und um die Wein- und Schweinfleischproduktion. Alle diese Naturprodukte gehören sowohl zu dem Angebot des Bauernhofes – wo man übernachten und Abendessen für Gruppen organisieren kann – als auch zu der osmiza, ein typischer Laden wo Getränke und Lebensmittel nur ein oder zwei mal im Jahr während der schönen Saison verkauft werden. Dieser Bauernhof ist das schöne Ergebnis eines Umbaus und einer Sanierung der Vergangenheit. Zur Zeit der Römer, die in der Antike den Karst bewohnten, standen die Häuser ganz nah aneinander. Die Domus entwickelte sich eher nach innen statt nach außen, um die Intimität der Familie zu wahren; unterschiedliche Generationen teilten gemeinsame Räume, die dem kulturellen und sozialen Leben der Familie vorbehalten waren. Diese Lebensweise wurde von den Menschen geerbt, die in den darauffolgenden Jahrhunderten diese Dörfer bewohnten und heute ist sie Teil der Karsttradition und der Philosophie von Le Torri di Slivia. Der alte Stall und die Heuscheune wurden in ein neues Bauernhaus umgebaut. Es liegt mitten in der Natur, hat 4 helle im ländlichen Stil eingerichtete Zimmer und ist mit allen Komforts ausgestattet. Es wurden typische Ecken der einstigen Häuser erbaut, wovon man den Eindruck hat, dass das Haus mehrfach angebaut wurde, wie es einmal üblich war, wenn di Familie wuchs und ein neues Teil angebaut wurde. Die alten Strukturen wurden mit Rücksicht auf die Vergangenheit und auf die lokalen Sitten renoviert, indem Materialien von alten Gebäuden auf dem Karst und typische Farben verwendet wurden. Hinter jedem Detail steckt eine historische und architektonische Forschung. Auch die modernsten Technologien wurden nicht vergessen wie z.B. Sonnenkollektoren, die eine umweltschonende Heizung der Innenräume gewährleisten. Stilisierte Abbildungen des Pferdes sind überall zu sehen. In einer Steinsäule eingemeißelt, auf den Konsolen und Balken eingeritzt, als Symbol der leidenschaftlichen Arbeit der zwei Besitzer. Ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge Die vorteilhafte Lage des Bauernhofes ist nicht nur ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Natur, Wanderungen oder Reiten, sondern auch für den Besuch archäologischer Reste, Spuren der Menschen, die in diesen Gebieten in der Urzeit gelebt haben. Der Karst hat auch ein stilles unterirdisches Leben, da der Untergrund reich an spektakulären Kavernen ist. Eine davon, die Grotta delle Torri di Slivia – daher der Name des Betriebes – liegt direkt unter einer seiner Gründe.  TOP
